Grumpy
I was going through my photos 'database' ( I called it database as there are soooo many photos....) and I stumbled across one photo of Claire in her 7th month....whom at that time must be in an irritated mood. She obviously is not looking too happy over something. Over what, I dunno. But I find this look rather amusing. Hehe.
Slurrrrp
Last time, if you were to ask me whats my favourite dessert, I will reply ice-cream immediately. However, now, if this question comes up to me again, I will say its CUSTARD!!!! And it has to be a caramel custard made by one of my good friend. Its sooooo gooooooood..the taste, the texture of it...one which I will never forget. One time eating it and it has been an 'addiction' ever since. I am really not exagerating when I say its good. It IS_REALLY_THAT_GOOD. There are hardly any other restaurants out there which I have tasted it to be as good as my friends home made custard. I always 'make' her do it for me. And she would be so nice and make it..and of course, no matter how many tubs she made me, I still complain not enough. Hehe.
I also 'introduce' to Chloe on this ie gave her a spoon....some tiny part of me hoping she wouldnt like it so that I dont need to share with her. BUT alas, my Chloe...(who has prooven that she indeed is my daughter as she shared the same taste bud as me) LOVES the custard too. She insisted that she has her own tub and feed by herself. :-( I have less one tub to eat now. Sigh.

Friday noon booze
I had lunch with a few of my colleagues last Friday at Sec 17 in PJ at this place called MM Cafe. Induldged myself with some Friday afternoon booze...
So how? Does it look like a beer to you? Was hoping after drinking and if I can actually feign a non-sober person, probably my boss will excuse me and release me from work. Or worse, companys policy is no alcohol during working hours and they may decide to reprimand me and take some severe action against me. Hehe. Its actually apple juice guys. :-)

Nice hat?
We were at Lily Handicraft last Sunday evening. Took Chloe to have her hair trimmed. And I dropped by at Lily Handicraft shop..my favourite knitting shop. I used to be a regular there ie I will sit down the whole day at that shop, knitting and also chatting...gossipping on anything under the sky. Through there, I have made some decent friends as well. Even when I had Chloe, I still manage to find the time to go there and keep up with my knitting projects. But now with the addition of Claire, its really nearly impossible. Moroever, Claire is not like Chloe. She doesnt like to be strapped in her stroller and not moving for long. Her 'need' to be carried AND move around surpasses Chloes. Therefore, there is no chance for me to take them all to the lily shop and have the luxury of a few hours of knitting indulgence IN PEACE..
So on that day at the shop, Chloe followed her daddy to go hunting for her 'weekly' toys (she gets new toys every weekend..guess whos fault? Not mine definitely). And Claire? She was with me. My friends at the shop were all very 'geram' of her michelin state. They put on this knitted hat on her and couldnt resist but took a picture of her.

Lousy Mother?
Someone recently asked me about my babys vaccination ie on how many vaccination of a certain type and whats the schedule like. I looked at her and said I cant remember. Cos you see, every baby will have a little record book which the paed records down certain milestones, like their weight, height, head circumference, and the date of each vaccination and their types in the respective schedule. I do NOT need to remember or maybe I didnt take the effort to remember the type of vaccination and their schedule, knowing that I have that little record book. If there is an upcoming vaccination, I will know and remember the doctors appointment. All I know is that Claire has already completed all the vaccination scheduled for the 1st 6 months. And the next one would be in her 1st year. However, do NOT ask me what is the 1st year vaccination type and if the 4th dosage of a certain vaccination is during her 1st year or in the 6th month. THAT I seriously cannot remember.
But this person kept harping on how come I cannot remember. She asked if I can remember my 1st child, Chloes vaccination schedule. I said that was 2 years plus ago, of course I cant remember. She then said she can remember her kids vaccination schedule eventhough it was 2 years ago. And she continued on. Kept harping on why I cannot remember and all. Sigh. Told her I have that booklet. Why do I need to store all this information in my mind? But she didnt let it go. She continued her 'interrogation'.
This made me wonder. Am I a bad mother? Should I take the initiative to remember all of these? Is there a need to in the first place? I believe, as long as my kids are going for their vaccination on the defined schedule, I dont need to be concern about whether or not I can remember it offhand rite? Some people, or mothers...are just too overly 'kan cheong'. Sigh....

Ways to capture a guys attention
Tell me something. Do guys prefer chirpy, cheerful kind of girls or do they prefer someone who looks sad, emotional, ie looking like theres a lot going in their minds? Do you think that if a girl were to look pitiful, ie damsel in distress, would she be able to attract a guys attention? Hoping that the guy will pay more attention to her and she will be able to seek comfort from him? Will this technique work on guys? I personally do not think so. I think generally guys would prefer a happy go lucky kind of girl. But who knows, there are guys who may want to take 'advantage' (no offense to guys in general ya) and these 'damsels' will definitely be their easy target. Hehe. Well, all I can say is...whoever it is that is using this technique, all the best. :-)

When will it end?
I am going thru this Double 'T's phase. My elder daughter, Chloe is driving me to the cliffs edge! Shes a real patience tester. Shes in her 2 years 3 months now. Although I love and adore her lots, I still wish she provides me with a lesser challenge to my emotional state of mind. She can really scream, yell, whim when she cant get what she wants and the most frustrating thing is when shes frustrated, she cant seem to relate/explain what she wants. So it is not as if we are stopping her from doing or getting something. Its that we do not understand her as shes just throwing her tantrums and not explaining properly. Sigh. Am I asking for too much from a 2 year old? Or should I even expect a better behaved child? When will all this end I often wonder....But then again, when I do calm down and give it a better thought, I realised that this is part of my emotional growth and my learnings in being a mother. And for all the other joy that Chloe brings into my life, I wouldnt trade it for less.
One of the many unhappy looks of Chloe:

My first post
What and why am I starting a blog now? Is it because I have nothing else better to do? (nope, definitely not this reason) Or that I am succumbed to peer pressure (whereby nearly every single souls out there blogs) and if I dont, means I am not in the 'rat race'? Whatever the reason is, I just want to blog. On what now? Hmm..lets see. On my day to day ramblings, coping with my 2 'patience tester' angels and also trying to figure out how to manage my time so that I can 'steal' more hours in a day to indulge myself in some sanity stuff like my hobbies.
